Workshop: Open Government, Transparency and Citizen Participation

On October 15-16, 2020, Towards Transparency (TT) – national contact of Transparency International (TI) in Vietnam organized the “Open Government, Transparency and Citizen Participation” workshop.

 

                                               Panel Discussion: Future of Public Governance

The workshop attracted the participation of representatives from many civil society organizations, media, academia, and members of the Open Government Partnership Working Group – founded in 2014, to advocate for the Open Government Partnership Initiative (OGP) in Vietnam.

The workshop featured presentations and sharings from some Vietnamese experts on the institutional issues, public governance, as well as updated information on the progress of building E-government and digital transformation in Vietnam. Besides, a representative of TI in the Czech Republic also joined the workshop virtually with a presentation about experiences in operating the open government model in the Czech Republic.

At the workshop, the representatives of organizations also exchanged views and discussed future opportunities, challenges as well as prospects for collaborations to further promote the OGP initiative and build more open governance in Vietnam.

This event was sponsored by the Embassy of Finland in Vietnam and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
