On 27 and 29 May 2014, Towards Transparency (TT) and Saigon Hi-tech Park (SHTP) co-organised an internal training for SHTP staff’s and a workshop with companies operating in the park to introduce the project “Collective action on promoting business integrity in SHTP”.
The SHTP staff and companies discussed internal programme to manage corruption risks in doing business. They learned about multiple business integrity initiatives taken in Vietnam and how SHTP would practically executed the collective action project. They also shared their experience and opinions on how to bring forward the project and boost integrity among businesses in the park.

Mr. Pham Anh Duong, TT’s Business Integrity Manager, shared a metaphorical story of a successful corn farmer who was willing to share “good corn seeds” with his neighbors so that het got productive crop with high quality pollens. That conveyed a very strong message of how practicing and promoting integrity would help cultivate a clean and fair business environment.
The project “Collective action on promoting business integrity in SHTP” was also reported by HTV (the television of Hochiminh City) as an established example of good practice in business ethics. See the clip below.
