This year’s CPI ranks 180 countries and territories based on a perception of corruption in the public sector.
The index uses database from 13 independent international surveys of opinions and assessments of experts and business people on corruption in the public sector.
The CPI is the leading index in assessing corruption in the public sector, providing a relatively general picture of the level of corruption by ranking countries and territories around the world.
