Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Vien, Executice Director of TT talked about the key drivers that allowed the Vietnam’s anti-corruption context to develop positively in recent years. She also shared a number of related initiatives promoted by Towards Transparency and other actor, such as VCCI, which have been promoting business integrity in the country. She applauded the efforts of the Party and the State in gradually improving the legal framework on anti-corruption in Vietnam, the process that TT was honored to involve in and contribute to. She emphasized the importance that the Law has expanded its governing scope to regulate for the first time corruption in private sector. While a significant amount of work still needs to be done for greater business integrity in Vietnam, TT sees the recent shift (both at legel framework as well as practice) as step in the right direction.

This is the second time TT has been invited to the Regional Conference on Preventing and Combating Corruption. At the 9th Conference in 2017 in Seoul, TT had the opportunity to share our experiences in empowering young people to promote the culture of integrity in Vietnam.
