[Infographic] The participation of society in the fight against corruption in Vietnam
Vietnam has become a member of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) since 2009. Article 13 of UNCAC stipulates specifically in detail about society’s participation in anti corruption, emphasizing on the responsibilities of member states’ governments in promoting and ensuring the participation of organizations and individuals outside State sector.
After nearly seven years since the Convention was ratified by the President of Vietnam (June 30, 2009), and officially became effective in Vietnam (May 18, 09 in 2009), to which extent have we implemented commitments related to participation of society? What does Vietnam need to do to ensure roles of social actors in its fight against corruption?
